If it goes out or quits working. So - I guess it would be like for a cell phone charger or something - not enough juice going to it for much else.Overall - I would probably go with something cheaper and not necessarily water resistant next time - if it had a workable remote. The whole point was to leave the remote by the pool and have the extra plugs. We wanted a stereo out by the pool that we could plug things into - so we are NOT using it as a "work site" item - however - it does do the job, and the extra plugs work great. The remote (as mentioned in several other reviews) is useless. I will probably get a power strip and a real remote-controlled radio. We found the right fuse, replaced it - and tried to plug in a car-refrigerator. We cannot get more than 5 feet away and have it work - and I have changed the batteries. Also - the cigarette lighter plug that is on it - I am not sure what that is for, but it came with the fuse blown. That blew the fuse as well.
The sound quality is excelent and the price was well worth it.Not to mention how stylish it looks. Very nice piece of equipment. It has so many functions and features that are very useful on the job.
I must also say that Amazon had the best price around. The crew that I work with really enjoy the music during the day. CFL, Ocala FL. I recently purchased a Bosch PB10-CD job site radio as a replacement for my job. It is a fantastic piece of technology, very well built with a lot of really nice features ( built in battery charger,GFIC plugs & 12 volt receptical).
I was pretty sold on all the features this offers until I used it. The FM reception is a joke, I guess they fixed that but I'm not buying another one to find out.
Finally the cord came off after about a year and it wound up in the dumpster. One of the buttons got stuck and I had to break it off to unstick it.
This is the worst jobsite radio I've ever used. The CD player stoped working pretty quickly, probally after about a month.
It is tough though, the cage really protects it, but that's not worth $150. I have used the others except for the Makita, and this performs beyond poorly.
The GFIC seemed like a grat idea, but the covers blocked the outlets so bad that I wound up riping them off.
I recieved this Item as a gift, I used it one day and the radio/Cd player dosnt work. The display lights up , but is balnk , not indicating any mode, no cd player, no off /on switch JUST BLAH.
